2012 Pulitzer Prize for Drama: DISGRACED


The 2012 Pulitzer Prize for Drama (and a nifty $10K) has been awarded to Disgraced by Ayad Akhtar, which premiered at American Theatre Company in Chicago and had a successful production at Lincoln Center Theater's LCT3, starring Aasif Mandvi (see above).

Also nominated as finalists in this category were: the wonderful Rapture, Blister, Burn by Gina Gionfriddo, which had its world premiere at Playwrights Horizons and 4000 Miles by Amy Herzog,which debuted at Lincon Center Theater's LCT3 and then was remounted at LCT's Mitzi Newhouse Theater.
