Tennessee Williams Does Chekhov? THE NOTEBOOK OF TRIGORIN
Apparently, playwright Tennessee Williams was a fan of Anton Chekhov (and, really, who isn't?) and attempted his own adaptation of The Seagull in 1981, where it premiered at the Vancouver Playhouse in Vancouver, British Columbia.
Well, it took an enterprising young theater company, The Attic Theater Company, to give this interesting bit of theater history its New York premiere.
